The Rubin Museum of Art in New York holds many interesting programs, often pairing neuroscientists with artists for lively discussions (see our many posts on their spring Brainwave program). This fall the museum delves into aspects of ignorance, and three of the events will feature either a psychologist or a neurologist. Tickets are available for purchase now.
- Psychologist Daniel Gilbert will discuss delusion with cartoonist Tim Kreider on September 28 (I wrote about a similar pairing in the spring, which was great fun).
- Psychologist Daniel Goleman will speak with journalist Dan Harris about system blindness on October 7.
- Neurologist Dimitrios Kapagiannis will discuss omniscience with lama Karma Trinlay Rinpoche on November 1.
The Rubin Museum is a Brain Awareness Week partner.
