Today, January 15, tickets go on sale to the general public for the Rubin Museum’s sixth annual Brainwave series. This year’s theme is illusion, and the program aims to “enlist the aid of neuroscientists to help us understand how the perception of our world is shaped by the surprising adaptability of our brains.”
Among the enlisted neuroscientists are Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives members Daniel Schacter, Tom Carew, and Margaret Livingston. Also on tap are neuroscientists Stephen Macknik and Susana Martinez-Conde, experts on the neuroscience behind magic, and specifically illusions. The program runs through April.
The Rubin Museum is a Brain Awareness Week partner.
