Our Brain Awareness Week partners have begun submitting reports about their 2012 programs, and many included photos from their events. I couldn’t resists posting a few photos of some of the more artistic activities documented.
Ahmedabad International School students in Gujarat, India, competed in a painting competition organized by the department of neurology at Shalby Hospitals. (Photo courtesy of Shalby Hospitals)
Children made hats illustrating brain anatomy at Auckland Brain Day in New Zealand. (Photo courtesy of the Centre for Brain Research, University of Auckland)
At the Tigard Public Library in Oregon, “b” for “brain” was the theme of the day, leading to the creation of bee masks and bean art on pictures of brains, eating bagels and jello in the shape of a brain, and solving brain teasers. (Photo courtesy of Tigard Public Library)
If these photos inspire you get artistic, check out the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiative’s free downloadable coloring sheets about the brain.
